Tesla Model 3 Highland Cup Holder, Armrest Box & Console Storage — What Fits, What Doesn't

The Tesla Model 3 Highland's redesigned centre console looks sleek — but it introduces a few practical challenges. The cup holders are larger and deeper than the pre-Highland, the armrest opens to a shallower bin, and the console tray is a completely different geometry. This means pre-Highland accessories won't fit, and generic inserts designed for "Model 3" often reference the old layout.
Here's what you need to know before buying.
Cup Holder — The Problem and the Fix
The Highland's cup holders are designed for large cups, which means smaller cans and bottles wobble and rattle during driving. A Model 3 Highland cup holder insert fits inside the existing holder and centres drinks of all sizes. It drops in without any tools or modifications and lifts out for cleaning. Critical check before buying: look for "2024+ Highland" or "New Model 3" in the fitment description — not just "Model 3".
Armrest Privacy Box — Using the Dead Space Under the Lid
When the Highland's centre armrest lid is open, there's a shallow bin that's great for small items but leaves valuables visible. The armrest privacy storage box creates a flocked compartment inside this space — your phone, wallet, and sunglasses sit protected with a soft lining that prevents scratching. The box clips in without adhesives.
ABS Armrest Storage Box — A Different Style
The ABS silicone armrest storage box is a harder-shell alternative. The ABS outer frame with silicone lining provides firmer organization — better for drivers who want defined compartments rather than an open cavity. Both the flocking and ABS versions are Highland-specific; neither fits pre-2024 Model 3.
Front Console Storage Box — Stop the Slide
The Highland's open console tray behind the cup holders sends loose items sliding at every corner. The Highland front console storage box fills the tray with a custom ABS organiser that has a silicone base. Keys, cards, and change stay put and silent. Check for Highland-specific dimensions — the tray shape is narrower and shorter than the pre-Highland console.
Why Fitment Matters More Than Price
A $12 generic "Model 3" insert that doesn't seat correctly will move around under braking and rattle constantly — worse than no insert at all. All three products above are designed specifically for the 2024+ Highland's updated centre console geometry. If you're not sure your Model 3 is a Highland: landscape touchscreen orientation = Highland.
Want everything in one order? The Tesla Model 3 Must Have Bundle includes the cup holder, both armrest boxes, front storage, floor mats, armrest protector, and trunk storage — all Highland-specific, $430, dispatched from Melbourne. Browse the full Model 3 Highland range →
